Viridescence

Viridescence initially started out as a quick and simple exercise in telling a story through an unorthodox medium, which in this case was item descriptions in video games a la Dark Souls. The exercise soon turned into a full-blown narrative telling the story of a fantastical world that succumbed to a mysterious parasitic plant known only as “Blight”, and the tales of the individuals who survived the fall of civilization.

The Mutiny of Captain Lachlan Grant

A one-act play that follows Mary, a boatswain under the captaincy of the pirate Lachlan Grant, who attempts to stage a mutiny against him. Slightly naive, she attempts to gain the trust of Grant’s entire crew, including his simple-minded yet fiercely loyal quartermaster, Edward.

The Well of Leyna’s Rest

A piece of flash fiction inspired by the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt quest Contract: Devil by the Well. Mysterious disappearances in the small, backwater town of Leyna’s Rest drive the remaining residents to hire a roaming mercenary to investigate, who soon learns a sinister truth about the town’s only well.

On Men and Monsters

A short story following a mercenary named Morgan who is hired by a nobleman to take care of a mysterious creature – half man, half demon – which is haunting his estate. While searching for the creature, Morgan soon discovers the truth behind the noble and the supposed creature.

Flash Fiction Stories

A short collection of flash fiction pieces. I was inspired to try my hand at writing flash fiction after reading the weapon stories in the video game NieR: Automata, hence why the tone of these pieces may also appear morbid as well.
