Hello there! My name is Lukas Berry, and allow me to be the first to welcome you to my one-of-a-kind e-portfolio!
Currently, I am a recent graduate from the University of Delaware with a BA in English and a minor in Interactive Media.
If I were to describe myself in one word, it would be “creator.” From writing stories of all lengths and genres to making videos, I love to create and tell stories of all calibers. My forte is creative writing; I’ve written numerous pieces, including:
- Short stories
- A theater script
- An unorthodox piece of long fiction told through the lens of item descriptions and dialogue of Non-playable Characters (NPCs) from a fictional video game.
- A novel (which is a work in progress)
I have also taken a number of technical writing courses during my time at college, particulalry in editing and professional writing.
I am familiar with web site creation and content design, having made a number of web sites during my education.
I currently work at the Student Multimedia Design Center located in the University of Delaware’s Morris Library. My responsibilities at the Center include:
- Assisting Center visitors with issues concerning multimedia software (Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Apple iMovie) and hardware (laptops, cameras, microphones)
- Lending out equipment visitors need for projects, personal or academic
- Providing content for the Multimedia Design Center’s blog
- Creating videos and posters advertising the Design Center’s services and equipment.
Outside of my education, work, and writing, I am an avid gamer, familiar with a plethora of genres and series. I intend to eventually make video games, preferably Character Action Games or Fantasy Role-Playing Games (RPGs). I intend to start a YouTube channel with a focus on video game Let’s Plays.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my e-portfolio, and have a nice day!
